KuCoin Setup Guide

This guide explains how to prepare a safer KuCoin connection for StratPilot. It is written for normal users: keep the account separated, give the API key the minimum required permissions and never share API keys in screenshots or support chats.

Step-By-Step Setup

  1. Log in to KuCoin.
  2. Go to Account / Sub-Accounts.
  3. Create a dedicated sub-account for StratPilot.
  4. Transfer only the capital you want to test with.
  5. Go to API Management for that sub-account.
  6. Create a new API key.
  7. Give the API key the minimum required permissions.
  8. Do not enable withdrawal permission.
  9. Use IP restrictions if possible.
  10. Copy API key, API secret and API passphrase.
  11. Open StratPilot Settings or first-run wizard.
  12. Paste the API key, API secret and API passphrase into the KuCoin fields.
  13. Click Test KuCoin public API.
  14. Click Test KuCoin private balance/read-only test if available.
  15. Start in mock/paper mode and with small amounts.
  16. Only enable live trading when you understand the risk.

Security And Risk Notes

  • StratPilot never needs withdrawal permission.
  • Never share your API secret or API passphrase.
  • Do not save API keys in screenshots.
  • Delete or rotate the API key if you suspect any leak.
  • Trading involves risk.
  • Historical performance does not guarantee future results.

StratPilot starts with KuCoin support. More exchange integrations are planned, but they are not available in the current release.

KuCoin

KuCoin is the currently supported exchange integration. In the full app, users can connect their own KuCoin API keys, test the connection, start in mock/paper mode and only enable live trading when they understand the risk.

Use a dedicated KuCoin sub-account and never enable withdrawal permission.
